Tell the Story
She called each one by name Said, children, listen to me I've a story to tell, a story Of the One who came to Be She held her youngest son Began, with tears in her eye He was the Father's only Son He had not many, as do I. In Bethlehem, so long ago He was born one holy night Immanuel, they called him Who came to set things right. As I have told you of Him So you must tell the world For at each heart, like yours Satan's darts are hurled. Immanuel, they called him And He is with us still Will you not tell of Him That every heart be filled? Note: This was a song written many years ago, titled Immanuel. All it took to turn it into a poem, was take off the chorus and change the title. Chorus: Immanuel, Immanuel, His name is Immanuel The One who came to be Immanuel, Immanuel, God's love for you and me.
