Dreams
I don't dream very often When I do they are deep and terrifying I can't stop these delusions They just happen I try to forget Hoping they will eventually fade away Or that's what I keep telling myself Running down the alley He is chasing me He wants me dead Bullets are flying past me Jumping into a building and start climbing the stairs Hearing his footsteps underneath me Adrenaline pumping through me I keep running Not knowing where I was headed I hit the top and jumped through the door With no where to hide The door opens behind me The gun fires I fall down screaming in pain I'm hit mid thigh He continues to walk towards me I'm struggling to move I'm lying there trying to crawl away Everything is blurry One hand after the other I slowly move but the pain is intensifying He stands above me The gun between my eyes He pulled the trigger Terrified I wake up sweating Screaming in terror These nightmares are so real But when I wake up they're gone forever When I'm asleep my mind is free To do whatever Then in a beat it's gone again Never to see that dream again I can try to fall asleep again Hoping to try to recover that dream or nightmare But you won't get the same dream So where does it go why can't I get that dream back? Is my mind to scared to go back to those dreams Is it too much to handle
