Fighting To Breathe
Kicking punching and biting I am so tired of fighting Survival is not enough Life is not just being tough Freedom is one of happiness keys Living a life without dependencies Depending on pensions to come through With big brothers thumb on top of you Pressing depressing and holding you down Keeping you from reaching your crown Others with claws of financial razors Want your blood for them to savor Be indebted to no one or human thing Don't let them bow you and call themselves your king Depend on God and the strength He gives you Be content with what you have and what you do The grass is not greener it is all just plastic and paint Stay strong and from temptation keep stiff restraint Or you will be cornered just as I am And fighting to breathe in someone elses hand
