Emotional Weeds
21 oct 2014 3:45 PM My deepest feelings are so hard to express They have rooted in and overgrown to a mess Hacking away with the poetry mower The weeds grow faster and I get slower Clogging the drains so my tears flood my face Hiding the beauty what a disgrace I work so much on this overgrown mire That my house is neglected its condition is dire Oh why did I wait so many years letting them grow Why didn't I take care of them when they were small and easy to mow Now I am happy and then I am sad I am excited and then I am mad So much emotion in this garden once fair I want to give up but I just don't dare No my Father did not teach me to quit He taught me to get back up from each hit He gives me courage and strength through it all I will have it cleaned up one day once and for all
