Fire and Ice
I can’t think at all At the fire and the pit And see myself to fall Into the bottom of all of it Where I have seen the lion The dragon and its tail Upon an altered bed of rocks A gold heart, a feather and a scale I have seen your emptiness Inside your blackened soul Will you warm, a fire Or stay as cold as life Hidden in your hole without any treasure your desire The darker are the shadows The colder is your knife I have felt it all The iron and the steal Pounded to be broken Sharp enough to feel And cut away the anger The heartbeat of the stranger The gold heart tips the scale The feather will finally fall Now all of this, is getting very real I have felt you all Your fire and your ice The wounds you cut too deep In the end, will never heal My mind and will cannot bend What the feather would reveal What else should I feel ? Every story has a beginning And this one is in the end
