Blonde Haired Beauty
Blonde haired beauty Sitting there, observing Unaware of what she’s doing to me It really is unnerving Whenever I try and tell her I can’t find the courage Or even the words to describe How I’m feeling I’m sick of all this tension Her face gives me anxiety Immaculately painted Her voice is like a poison That I indulge in willingly Though I feel it slowly killing me My heart begins to race When I lay down to sleep Thoughts of her keep me awake And that’s how I remain at length In my dreams she holds my hands And smiles at me But then I wake up and, ‘surprise!’ I’ve had another fantasy Of the love I’ll never realize Time marches on seemingly unending I begin to hate myself For keeping up the mirage Of simple friendship But then I remember, that’s how she feels about it And I can’t help but stand and shout it “Oh how I miss our love that never was!”
