Invisible Mask
Every morning i wake and put on this mask a mask that no one can see and with this mask i am flawless confident and secure. Without this mask i am social awkward. This invisible mask that no one can see. 85 % of the people i know wear this mask. This mask restricts me from my own beliefs but this mask makes me acceptable. This mask makes me think the way they want me to think. Who are they? They are the people who wear this mask. The ones who do not wear this mask are not accepted and if i am caught associating with these unmasked people i will be disowned by the people who wear this invisible mask. One day i decided to talk to a person without this invisible mask. Knowing that i would be socially unaccepted i talked that person anyway. I asked that person am i foolish for speaking to them knowing i will be unaccepted? and that person said "Ask yourself this". "Is making a new friend more foolish than wearing a mask that no one can see kinda oxymoronic isn't it?" That day i decided i would never wear my invisible mask ever again. MY MIND HAS BEEN EVOLVING EVER SINCE!
