The Man Who Invented Pockets
The man who invented pockets, Never owned a bag. The man who invented pockets, Had really tiny hands. The man who invented pockets, Bought the patent in a flash, so The man who invented pockets, Was never short of cash. The man who invented pockets, Was a kleptomaniac, The man who invented pockets, Couldn’t carry everything back. The man who invented pockets, Had more things than a couple,. and The man who invented pockets, Had never learnt to juggle. And so he invented pockets, To remedy his cares, And when he invented pockets, He put them everywhere: He wove them into carpets; He built them into walls; He put them onto kangaroos; He lost some in the air; He placed them into tables; He slid them under doors; He put them into houses; And when he’d fitted them all, He left some in his trousers To keep his hands quite warm.
