The Best Man a Girl Ever Had
He was the best lil' man a girl ever have I was five and he was six He had red hair and freckles and said the darnest things One day we were on the front porch in the swing he looked at me and said sugar do you know what I want to do I said no daddy cause that what he told me to call him my lil' daddy but he told me he want to take them two cats and tie their tails together and I told him I didn't think that was a good idea but when lil' daddy got it in his head you could not stop him so I told him well we needed to think of some way of holding them cat down to tie them tails so he run to the barn and came back with two corn sacks and we each caught a cat well my cat was a girl and she was tame but lil' daddy got ole tom and he was not so friendly and he started to claw his way out of that sack but lil' daddy wasn't going down without a fight and tom gave him one lil ' daddy was bloody from the top of his head to the bottom of his arms but tom did get his tail tied to my cat she wasn't no more happier that tom when mama heard the noise she came a runnin' with a switch and tanned our hides but by this time the cats already got loose
