My Ship To Sea!
To sea! –This Ship to sea! Her misty spray and heaving swells, to her mirrored finish from winds which failed vast, changing, enchanted, seas -swiftly sailed. All salty, bitter, battered, brimming, brine of all things vast, sky and sea, the Lord displays His majesty! This vast emerald, embodied sea; keeper of time. My sheet to hang for wind too find! Of her brothers (lands and soils) with mountain ranges vast and tall. Valleys stretching far and far as man loves, hates, fights and toils -his greed ending as sand, reclaiming, finding, falling, into salty seas to be. Of voyages failed, lost, sunken ships unclaimed, un-tallies her treasure chest she keeps, treasures deep, deeper, so deep she guards it there in her depths to keep. Hurricanes sling about her belt, ice draped about her poles every extreme of time, space, sight, sound and depth even more remains; unknown. No flower blooms, its breath un-blown to fill a salty misty air-- no Hummingbird backs, bends or bows she calls to hearts; hearts too hear, this sea, this sea forever there. I pray for eyes to see, for souls so feel to care! From far off, far distance candle lit towers of Spain to looming mirage gifted, lifted isles of peace all her treasures, bones, secrets, souls, ghost remain as her power and magnificence increase. Yet! All brave sailors voices ring o'er her wave –repeat, repeat! If God is father, then mother this sea shall be. To sea! To sea!–My Ship to sea!
