Castles In the Sand.
Sand dunes lay upon the desert floor graceful ridges , mountains high tempting the fool to build his house on sweeping curves in constant motion.....a ship adrift on a stormy ocean throwing caution to the wind. Swirling specks as they do fly....filling nostrils, blinding the eyes. Here a face....castles on the other side which teasing winds again blow aside. Shapes and designs he builds again unafraid.... no sign of rain to wash his efforts with cool disdain. He builds a fortress where he stands to protect him from the enemy's hand. Grit in his eyes....a crunch between his teeth...sandpaper on stone beneath his feet. Blowing high... blowing wide, twirling bits....stinging whips not a place to hide.......as the swirling sand his cheeks doth kiss. Into his robe it flows as he pores his way underground hoping for shelter from the storm. Yet one more time he tries his hand at building shapes that will not stand. He's yet to learn ....that simple mind One cannot build castles in the sand.
