One Last Goodbye
The clock of life signals that I must say goodbye, I utter this with the greatest possible sigh. You have the purest soul on wondrous planet Earth, And have so many good intentions that have so much worth. You don't care what others think of you, Because you always know that your beliefs are truer than true. I wipe off a single tear that rolls down my weary face, As my body begins to signal an end to its enduring race. My breath begins to fall short as the time rapidly passes, I know soon that I will be greeted by the masses. You taught me how to live and learn, I think of you as my lungs begin to flame and burn. I would pick a sparkling star out for you in the dreamy, night sky, Just the thought of leaving you makes me begin to cry. I love you to the moon and back, You stole my heart as I voyage on my final track. I'm sorry to say goodbye, Unfortunately, it's my turn to die. I close my blue eyes for one last time, As I hear the bells of heaven begin to chime.
