An Apology
And, I owe myself an apology... For not believing in myself, For not trusting myself, For the times that I didn't seek the best, But just accepted what was left, For the the times that I allowed SOMEONE ELSE'S opinion, To create a warped version of Danita Michelle. For those rare times that the enemy's influence, Created my own personal hell. And I owe myself an apology, For not always following my "first mind", For not going with my gut, But instead following "The Others", And, a letting lack of confidence dig my rut. For those times, that I was so busy, being true to "them", That I wasn't being true to me, And, if I wasn't being true to me, Then I wasn't being true to HE... HE, who is truth! So, I owe myself an apology, for scrimping on life, nearly detouring my destiny, and ALMOST cheating myself..., out of my great reward. Now, the apology has been given and accepted. My destiny, is yet unaffected. And, the future... Yes, the future, Is even better than what was once projected.
