At First Glance
At first glance I thought I had a chance thought what we had was true romance until you gave me the old song and dance but at least you gave me notice in advance I was mesmerized by your flair and style my head was in a whirlwind for a little while up on cloud nine is where I once landed until you brought me down and left me empty handed My feet didn't touch the ground whenever you were around I'd look deep into your eyes but couldn't make a sound no words could express the love that I thought I had found when the whole time I never knew that I was being clowned At first glance it looked so much different to me but at last now my eyes are open and have come to see and I'm so thankful to you for setting me free because you and I were never really meant to be.
