Tears On the Wind Part 2
On that night I had no idea for it had been so exceedingly long And in so longing for such glee, I was no longer all that strong My heart was all but broken though I tried continually to fake But each time his name was spoken I felt like I was going to break Now over two and a half years since the last time he was here Behind me was a bunch of tears for the son that I hold so dear That night I never had a clue, only in actually seeing did I realize My wish had finally come true for at the airport I got the best surprise They said it was my Canadian cousins as I looked for them everywhere I didn't even notice their happy grins for I was still completely unaware Searching for them high and low but they were no where to be found I was wondering if they'd even show but to see this out I was bound And then right before my very eyes my son was just five feet away Oh the emotion of such a joyous surprise for this was finally the day I tried my hardest not to cry in finally getting to again see my son But no matter how hard I had tried it was a fight that wouldn't be won Welcome Home Vincent U.S. Marines
