Goodbye
Please, listen to me. It won’t take too long. I’m ready to say to you goodbye now. Tomorrow I may be less brave or strong, And I may not know what to say and how… Thus, goodbye... But before you go away And put me out of your mind for ever, Before you never find me on you way - For a while be my patient listener. So, goodbye… My lips can say nothing more Though I’d like you to know my gratitude For hope you gave me many times before. I’d tell you much more if I only could… I’m overcome with the moving moment, Though you may say it’s of no importance. My farewell words will be quite silent Exactly like my world in your absence… But I smile because you happened to me. And I shouldn’t cry, but count my blessings. So, I let you go. I’m really ready. My life takes new purposes and meanings…
