Little Moments
Two hearts flutter When they cross paths One a silent prayer The other sputtering Only can only gasp" "I need a miracle She said to the Moon high above Let him see me now Let him be my love A swollen mound Covered with Four hands and hearts Pounding nervously A kick, A nudge Their tears threaten to shed A pain rips through The growing silent show "Let her be with us Let us greet her now" A stage set for Accomplishments Caps and gowns a flair Her eyes shine brightly To the crowd, where she hopes to see them wave Let them see me now Let them see and be proud A New Year's Day And night in hospice Hourly we pray To ease a passing promised Her eyes shut tight Leaking years A silent plea "Let me go now With her I must be" One hundred one Years now passed her by Surrounded by the family They long shared A smile graces lips dry Clasped her fingers To the Lord she shouts "Let him see me now Let me be with you" ---------------- Hopefully not too sad, about little moments in our lives we like to share or be with someone else.
