Spring
The winters snow has given way White is now replaced with green The chirping sound of the Blue Jay The fluttering of even more birds unseen Spring has returned to let its beauty be seen The beams of light warm my face Bursts of colors are given by the blooming flowers Deer bound by, running with grace Clouds drift in the distance with the promise of a rain shower This is a scene that I could watch for hours The rain falls, gentle and warm As quick as it comes it leaves As typically is a spring storm Just enough rain to wet the trees leaves And enough for the ground for life to receive Trees bloom, their flowers drifting in the gentle breeze I dread that day when the flowers will be gone The day when the earth is succumbed to the winters freeze The days when the sun rises in a cold dawn The days when gone is the swan But gone is the worry, much like the passing butterfly Relaxing to the cooing of the dove As the butterfly disappears into the never ending sky I look upwards to the sky above The season of spring I truly love
