I Wish You Were Here
I sit down to think about the world again Think about the life that never lets you win All they ever say is life isn't fair To go against this law only few shall dare I feel like something is completely wrong As I listen and cry to this love song I feel alone even when I am with my friends Its a different type of alone and it never seems to end There is something missing deep inside I search my soul to find where it hides I see it in a shadowed place just outside of reach It sits there and sucks away my mind like a thirsty leech I look back to find some peace in the past But only for a moment does it last My mind seems fragile like broken glass I sit and dream until the feeling will pass But all it does is stay and yell at me It pulls me to something human eyes can't see Lost with out my friend to guide me away You are the memory that forever will stay As I sit here locked behind the wall of a door I think about the face that I will see no more Sometime I have felt like you were very near Oh, how I wish you were here
