We'Ll Manage
Sometimes it feels as if we’re slowly slipping away, As if the hard ground beneath us is sinking. Sometimes it feels as if we’re losing sight of who we are, What we are together. Yet somehow, every single time, we get through it. We get through by the love in our hearts and the true dedication each of us has for one another. When things being to crumble as they sometimes will, We just have to acknowledge that for us, we mustn't go downhill. When things feel out of place and just not right, We just have to realize that the light at the end of the tunnel is very bright. Just when we feel we’ve lost our grip on the actual meaning of our relationship, We have to remember where we began and how far we’ve come on this long and tedious trip. Some days might make us want to cry, Some days might make us feel lost, But we’ve just got to consider the fact of the matter is; where would we be without one another? Things may be not as good as we’d wish they were, Things may not seem as perfect as we’d like them to be, But when everything is all said and done, When everything is clear and bright as day, It will all have been worth it. Every struggle to keep the puzzle together, Every fight that lead to an awkward goodnight, Every time I doubted you or you me, Well one day we’ll look back on it and smile, thinking to ourselves just what little significance those old pains hold now. So with the love in our hearts and the true dedication each of us has for one another, We’ll manage. *Written many months before, the hopeful prelude to my poem "Sinking"*
