Soul On Fire
Freedoms inferno ablaze in your eyes reflections of a soul on fire the composition of my existence My seventh and final child My work of art - in abstract theme for now abridged of what's to come courage that resides in your heart of a lion In my pride to know you as son As your journey begins your sailing ship I pray your winds not becalmed nor falter course - a compass fit for mighty winds as the depth of our bond When comes the day My heart has beat it's last forget no lesson nor moral I gave they will hold your course till you breathe your last In purest love without condition the uncounted cost of every day no greater gift than to be your mother for such wealth no money could pay My beautiful, beautiful boy I love you more than life time has no tolerance for a world in strife use life for the living - not just to survive What talent of artistry you own for with your laughter alone you paint my smile RADIANT - for you are my child (For my son who asked me to write him a poem Just in case I died. He wanted to know what I thought Would be most important to say to him should I speak no more)
