Her Safe Haven
I saw you in the distance in the dense fog, you were sitting alone on a hollow log. The look on your face was that of a sad expression, an image of depression that was my first impression. I sat beside you to find out what ailed you, you said knowone understands me, maybe you do. You covered your face in the mist of it all, you need someone to catch you incase you fall. you said I've cried till I can't cry knowmore, this ache is confining me to my very core. You ran away because you felt alone and scared, what you had told me I was not prepared. The bruises I saw was more than I could stand, you said I'm tired of the beatings and the raising of his hand. I saw a woman sitting there so shattered, everything was gone and all that mattered. She said I ran away in the dead of night, I can't go on anymore, nor have I the strength to fight. She said I can't go back I never will again, my life is at stake that I must defend. I led her to a very safe place, where she secreativly knelt and felt God's grace.
