Travelers
He entered through the gate that was big and wide Onto a road that was broad and full of corruption, But his way seemed right with the crowd at his side; "It is not enough!" Grave and Fire cry in eruption, Just as hell is never full; his eyes were never satisfied, And having his senses dulled, he was lulled by seduction; As a king with his army, he was stately in his stride, But this path led him to an end of death and destruction. Another entered through the Door that was small and strait Onto a path that was narrow where his distinction was rife, And his way seemed lonely with the Few who found the Gate; Not lamenting for mourners or dancing for players of the fife, The Book that's sweet to taste and bitter to the belly, he ate, Which perfected and equiped him with a double-edged knife For every work and wrestle as he walked toward his fate, But the road he took led him to righteousness, honor and life. Therefore, make every effort now to enter through the Narrow Door, For many will seek to enter through it when it's closed by the Risen Jew. Though they will knock and plead for an opening as it was heretofore, They will be locked out, thrust into Outer Darkness with the evil they do, Like those who wander out of the way of understanding and lore, And they shall weep and gnash their teeth the moment they shall veiw The forefathers and the prophets in God's kingdom forevermore, But the multitudes seated within are those the Lord foreknew.
