Awakening
AWAKENING A Poem by Debbie_Philly Awakening I wrote this while down the shore a few years ago I don't know where I am anymore where I am to be, what to be Standing on the edge of yesterday and tomorrow. I sit here breeze blowing, salt air tickling my nose awakening my senses I'm relaxed yet dulled, I cant feel it. The excitement that used to jump up off the sand and grab hold making me feel whole. No more moon wishes, no more boy dangling down from the crescent sphere to take my hand.... just memories The days have gone by, I don't know them anymore and they don't know me. It scares me to death. I need to be in that place where life breathes nostalgia into my soul and turns my worlds upside down. Something to shake things up. My absolution never comes this night. I smell the salt air, I feel the breeze it's comforting yet I'm still dulled do I retrace my steps ....... or make new ones . By:Debbie Mills Kelly
