Juliet
Night of fitful dreaming, I have slept ill In torturous musings of manic frame Mindful of Juliet my thoughts did fill The only drawback is Capulet name Two warring families in conflict remain As my name is Romeo Montague Rival animosity just grew and grew Arose and once attired I ventured forth Now in pursuit haste I on winged feet Today Juliet to chapel will go From afar to espy her makes heart replete Hopefully with Juliet I shall greet Oh, I see her kneeling in silent prayer Her mesmerising beauty compels my stare She draws near, shrouded in an embroidered shawl Downcasting her eyes to the chapel floor Then momentarily they on me fall Catching my breath as she leaves through the door Making my heart fill with love evermore How I wish to call her my own sweet love In hope I look to the Heavens above Undetected, I followed her home As her inspiring glance lighted my way But at her closed gates I let out a groan Wondering how to gain entry, who can say Tomorrow's no use it has to be today So impatiently I rattle the latch And lo and behold it is on the catch Impenetrable thickets edge the path Hidden I must reconnitre my way Someone comes walking and I hear a laugh It's Juliet strolling and out at play Enjoying the warm weather this month of May A silken ball of blue thrown overhead In catching it my concealment is shed "Are you alone?" I bravely whispered low Smiling in conspiracy she spoke "Wait, I shall ask my nurse to go below, to check my meals on menu slate" Returning she and I pledged our fate So from now onwards we as one shall be Our lives will be happy we both agree.
