Hidden Storm
Gray skies lie behind clear blue eyes Soft smile, clever disguise, hide memories of pain and demise So she tries to find a silver line in torment of past life Flashbacks flood her mind, threaten to define just who she will become She cannot rely on the things she has known She fights to overcome the rage that's inside She looks down at her hands in shame and denies the things they've done She would shatter like glass if she took off the mask She keeps armor on her skin, her knuckles covered with brass To let the world in will never be an option Weakness is a sin that she buries deep within Storms brew at night as she lays in bed Thoughts fill her head as the screams rain in Images haunt from when she was a kid So many times she wished she were dead from hot lead tearing through flesh A lightning strike positioned just right or crimson blood flowing from the slice of a knife
