Ragedy Bones
Ragedy Bones Ragedy Bones was an old, old, old cat Thin as a rail with no sign of fat Deaf as a doorknob with a keen sense of smell Twenty plus years from what I could tell Calico colored, she followed the sun From window to window and when she was done She’d curl into a ball with her head upside down And fall fast asleep until someone came around Then slowly she’d get up and stretch just a bit Climb up on your lap to see if she’d fit Around and around and around she would go Then just walk away if it wasn’t just so Her “Meows” just got louder year after year Due to the fact that that cat could not hear She couldn’t digest what a normal cat ate So she had special meals on her own special plate Yes, Ragedy Bones was an old, old cat With a lot of things wrong but in spite of all that Ragedy Bones right from the start Earned a permanent place right there in my heart My sister-in-law's cat - still hanging in there in spite of all her problems
