Too Much Fun
In my adolescence, a time so free, Fun and daring were my decree, Feelings strong, enchantment profound, Charmed by love's presence, spellbound. With peers, we laughed and played, Unconcerned about right or wrong, In our minds, fantasies laid, Youthful dreams, we danced along. My youthful years, a thrilling ride, Desires allure, passions untamed, Indulgence took its toll, on my pride, Playing with fire, we were inflamed. Foolish gambles, we dared to take, Chasing pleasure, reaching for the sun, Yet like bubbles, our world would break, Shameful acts, regrets, what we've done. Now awake from that foolish phase, Too much fun can be a lure, An instrument of Satan's ways, Tainting hearts, impure allure. For we sought happiness in mirth, Ignoring counsel from the wise, Now we bear the pain, the dearth, Of those who scorned the elders' advice.
