Absence Makes the Heart Grow Stronger
She thought her absence would make his heart grow fonder While she was gone instead it grew stronger and stronger Perhaps a sign he didn't need her any longer He thought back to when they first met Under the bleachers trying not to get wet Her hair became so frizzy boy she was upset He laughed at her gave her a kiss Thought to himself what could be better than this Within the storm he found his bliss Years passed she gained more power He felt like a male Rapunzel, locked in a tower What was once sweet had now become sour He didn't realize her love was a trap Her absence awoke him from his nap No longer a puppy on his master's lap Absence gave him strength to walk away Tired of the games she liked to play So he left her in yesterday Life without her is more than okay Fortunately my buddy did not fall back into her trap. He never did get his money back. I guess that was the price of freedom.
