A Future Without You
I raise my head to the darkened sky, Crossed my fingers and moved my lips, Mouthing the words that blesses you, Who now lives thousand miles away. The day you said “It’s over”, Those two words stuck on replay, Without another word you left, Not wanting to come back. Then I saw a picture, Of you smiling with her, It all made sense then, You were seeing another girl. At night, my mind twirls, My eyes playing with water, Wondering what I did wrong, That made you left me empty. And then I finally got up, And tried to be strong, I ripped off my hair, And took my glasses off. I stuffed metals in my mouth, Used crayons to draw my face, Wore short shirt and skirt, Just to make you regret. And when you came crawling back, I only said – Too late. Thinking I'll feel better, Thinking I'll feel happier. But you never do realize, How it burns inside, And when the sun sets, I still look up the sky. And for the last time, I raise my head to the darkened sky, Crossed my fingers and moved my lips, Praying one day you won’t realize, How badly I want your kiss. But it’s too late to turn back, To when you say you loved me most, So from now, I’m bringing my broken heart, And move on to a future without you.
