I Can'T Wait Till I Get Old
I can't wait till I get old. I can't wait till I get old apart from the long dark winter cold; I can't wait till I get old apart from my eyes for failing to tell me what they told. I can't wait till I get old apart from growing hairs from out of my big fat nose; I can't wait till I get old apart from waking up every morning with aching brittle bones. I can't wait till I get old apart from everyone you know has died and you feel alone; I can't wait till I get old apart from wanting to be young and the sun feels like your own. I can't wait till I get old apart from telling the same stories from years and years ago; I can't wait till I get old apart from being mugged down the road for a ten pound note. I can't wait till I get old apart from lying in a hospital bed being prodded and poked and probed; I can't wait till I get old apart from when the reaper comes to toll and the curl of my old fat toes.
