Her dad was outraged by this devastating news And was ready to beat up her "beau" Her mom pled with her dad Saying "Please don't harm the lad" The young man did not come to ask for her hand in marriage Causing the family's reputation to be disparaged To add insult to injury the lad said he was already married !
