Are You Satisfied With the One You Love
My friend thought after getting married, his “satisfaction” was solved! His wife had no idea how deeply he was involved. On their wedding day, she was a beauty to be seen. She was the twinkle in his eye, his partner—his everything. The lust he craved, she alone could not satisfy. As other women caught his wandering eye. As time went on, he'd make excuses in my mind. “I'll make up with my wife.” “Not now.” “Some other time...” Adultery was something he swore he'd never do! He promised “to always be faithful and true.” One day he allowed his guard to fall down. Then his whole life “came crashing down.” The guilt he bore was difficult to explain. He'd feel guilty at the mention of my wife's name. One day she found him in a compromising situation. He tried to give her some kind of an explanation. She said she'd stay with him ... if he'd give up his lustful deeds. “Repent to Jesus,” she said, “He'll meet all of your needs.” To Jesus, and her, he confessed and asked for forgiveness. In Jesus, he found true joy, love and happiness. As he looks back and think about how he lived. He's thankful to Jesus! Who’s willing to forgive! He alone has brought true satisfaction to his soul. And is with him now! Wherever he goes! By Jim Pemberton
