Half Moon Bay
One thousand burning embers by her heart- Men and women both still stoke her broken coal. Holding her at night, then waving her depart, One thousand burning embers, still a frozen soul. The humble island does her heart rely Lush and green, pure and free, her heart remains His sail crashed along her land of peace Now ruined with heart-ache's scars and stains His hands at rest upon her chest and cheek; Inner thoughts a sea itself, but body set to play Her nakedness beneath him, He takes her there at Half Moon Bay Solace in her heart stares in the brown eyes' deep Waiting to be caged and smothered in his den Loved and taunted, left and lost She waits the ocean's tide to turn to her again One thousand years she'll walk the island's shore, Seek his ship once more and feel the water's roll Once beneath his warming gaze One thousand burning embers, still a frozen soul.
