Happy Is a Choice
It's early in the morning and I ask myself How am I feeling today? As I wipe the cobwebs from my sleepy old brain Think it's going to be a fine day That lucky old sun has been up for a while Birdies are singing their songs It's time to wake up and greet the new day Enjoy life and just sing along Not everyone's lucky to wake feeling great Some mumble and grumble and gripe Feel sorry for those poor unfortunate souls Mornings are a constant fight Happy is a choice that each of us makes We choose our mood for the day It is totally up to us whether happy or sad Choose happy, there's no other way So take this advise that I offer in friendship Sure works for me every time It's early in the morning and I say to myself Choose happy and the day will be fine © Jack Ellison 2013
