Blinded By the Night
Bubble bubble, toil and struggle, A dream beyond the means. Fires burn, cauldrons boil, Illusion, not always as it seems. Wing of bat and eyes of newt, Living day by night. A pinch, a sprinkle, bitter brew, Yearning for airs of flight. Verdant mists of hope and hell, Chartreuse waves of cold. Silence, but for a impatient heart, Future about to unfold. Moonlight luminance on a weathered face, Tears no mirror can show. Nothing more than darkness, Nowhere left to go. Stumble, stutter, nervousness, What on earth is left to lose? Shame and sorrow, heartbreak and pain, Nothing left to use. Upward, towards ebon stars,  Swimming in a sea of jet. Instinct says she's on her way, But she's not quite there...not yet. Elation, virgin emotion, fear, Heavens beauty, black as coal. Seen as it should be, by one and all, Not with the eye, but with the soul.
