Spit
I was lukewarm, and you hated every breath Nothing beneath me but my honor and my deeds You were so torn between the heaven of desires And the earth of realities The waves threw me from my feet And it spit me out, to land again On my own two feet, not on my face And it split me down the middle My half-heart has a twin... and broken He tells her she's wrong again, just a way to keep her down There's nowhere to go where you can't be found She knows the drill, where he's going with this Squaring her shoulders and grittting her fists And she spit it out, on him All the hate and fear in a ball of rage The acid it burned, into him deep Fear set in and he left on that day You tell me i'm vile, evil, live everyday away Headed nowhere even near where you go You judge us all, but your god says lest ye be judged Embers in your eyes, shows the hell in your soul And you spit it out, on me An argument you can't defend, i hope there's an end And it ran down my face In tears of a hopelessly quiet sigh
