My Summer Day - Contest
It's bright and early the birds alarm has rung, More than two tunes I can hear being sung, Twitterings and tweetings brings the garden alive, enjoying the scene with Tilly by my side Jumped  into the car drove to the woods, would have loved the beach, if only I could. Tilly would have been too hot, no shade by the beach here streams to cool in , not far to reach. Squirrels to watch and listen as they squawk Birds oh so many, wish I understood their talk. Field full of bluebells just starting to fade, Poppies are nodding their heads, in a lovely glade. So relaxing to walk without a care Tilly chasing rabbits, some not really there. Hours pass like magic, time to return home relaxed and revived, the evening is my own. Will shower and pour a cold glass of wine, friends are going to call around together we'll dine, have pizza in the oven with garlic bread chat and watch t.v. then  its time for bed. A summers day in my life, how lucky am I No one to answer too, no one to say "why" My summer day, Friday 7th June 2013
