Solace
On a dark night, in a shabby old bar In the corner sat a lonely old man Holding a sorrow lost inside his jar Finding a new way, a new revised plan To forge a new road, not knowing if he can Remembering pleasures a long time past As he sits quiet, staring at my star Hoping for solace to come all so fast A solitude teen sits looking afar Wanting to leave but has not began To forget the moment she made a scar Burned as she turned and from him ran A boy now cries, regretting to ban Her smile, her touch, he only could cast Into the black sky and into my star Hoping for solace to come all so fast A lot has been seen and heard by my star Ranging from women to the most stubborn man Who's worry they leave which were so near To their hearts, which needed to quickly fan They wanted to know that I think they can Rid their souls of the mistakes that last By looking up high and on to my quiet star They wish for solace to come all so fast I wish I could help but I'm only a man Regrets unknowest from deep in my past Crawl to my mind of all the times I ran Sadly solace will not come at all fast
