Joe
He walks up and down aimlessly in his cage With a mirror and his toys, it’s his center stage. Amusing himself and singing if he must Allowing only the hand to pet him of those he trusts. Imitating the dogs’ bark or car alarms Screaming out aloud if he’s in harm. Walking on his stick as though his on show Pruning his feathers so they have a glow Not friendly at first n bites all those he meets With his razor sharp beak as he has no teeth. Loves the attention given by all Hanging upside down without a fall. Dancing to the music when no one is looking We enjoy his entertainment as we watch him while cooking, Given as a present to my dearest aunt By the one she loved and captured her heart. Mostly grey with a touch of white and red A one of a kind bird that’s pure bred Loved by all of that he knows. An African Grey named Joe..
