Rem Shavings
i awoke from my dream of wandering. it was one in the morning. shaking my head, i pulled back the covers and a light appeared. a form took shape before my eyes; it was a female, but she had no skin. behind her was a set of silver butterfly wings. gasping, i started to shiver in fright. "i am your guardian angel," she said and held out her hand towards me. i shook it. her flesh was warm. i could see her fingernails. they were ethereal like her hair. i reached for a cigarette. she took them from me. she shook her head and turned over her hand. the cigarettes were gone. i began to protest. she put a finger on my lips. "why have you grown tired with life, " she asked. i shook my head. she smiled, the produced a bright blue sapphire from her mouth and raised it. the stone's star shone. "this will help you to think about life in a better way." she placed the stone on my forehead. the stone vanished. i felt lightheaded and my eyes fluttered. when my vision became clear, the angel stood before me with silver skin, hair, and nails. she nodded her head, then she faded. nodding my head, i smiled and said a prayer. i went back to sleep and dreamed life in pink.
