My Sweetest Dream
My sweetest dream has always been to be Lying by you as calm as love can be. Love can be so calm when by me you lie And prove truly you dread to hear a lie. A lie cannot be heard if you can tell The truth of past secrets I cannot tell. Secrets I cannot tell because you did Not care to know how much for you I did. I did for you all silence does for love In hope and prayer that you be my love. My love so hailed in sanctity of heart Now speaks out loud to woo your sublime heart. Your sublime heart once strained to seek redress I opt to spend ink and blood to redress. To redress such strains binds me to be chaste And plain to you who needs one who is chaste. Be chaste my Love that I may find no fault In you to coax me defile my pure fault. My pure fault is just selfish ends in dream To lie by your calm as my sweetest dream. Yaounde, 06/03/08
