Love's Journey
In the stillness that calls your name, I walk down the path your footprints made. Wandering through memories, lingering in thoughts, the path slowly weaving it’s way to the center, Of all that was, all that is, and all that ever will be. I have walked this path many times, to a place apart. It’s timeless existence a testimony, to the love which led me here. It matters not what direction I turn or how great the distance, every path returns here. Sometimes I come to a standstill in this knowing, sometimes I run with free abandon, closer to letting go, to giving in, and I find myself in the center, of something so beautiful, so unimaginably tender. No doors or gates here, no keys and locks. Love has no barriers, no constraints. At times I am lost in the wonder of it’s boundlessness. There is a hole here, in the center of my heart, though it seems now more the window of a summer sky. As I look, brushing my fingertips across the pain, the beauty of reflection, I see you, Watching as the sun sinks below the horizon. I see you raise your eyes, toward the moon rising full and silvery in the night sky. You smile then, remembering, and I know you see the same vision, as you look from the window of your heart.
