It Takes a Certain Kind of Person
You stand and ask me questions, the answers you ignore. I might as well be talking, to that thick oak door. You are shaking my foundations. Causing doubt to flake away, the confidence I had when I first met you. Making me to just want to run away. It takes a certain kind a person to ignore the words I say. I never thought I’d meet you, but I have to my dismay. Your face tells a different story, to the words that you actually say. And the whispers that I’m hearing make me feel on edge each day. Why do you want me with you, if I’m the trouble that I seem? Destroying all I hoped for, Made a nightmare from a dream? It takes a certain kind a person to ignore the words I say. I never thought I’d meet you, but I have to my dismay These forced upon meetings, that I have no choice but to attend, The sea of unknown faces, sympathetic, but not a friend. So what’s the point of talking, if you never want to hear? I’m looking for an answer, on how to disappear. It takes a certain kind a person to ignore the words I say. I never thought I’d meet you, but I have to my dismay You don’t have to understand me, just let me do my job. You say you are my friend, but a friend just would not, Ignore the words I’m saying, Ignore the hurt they’ve caused Not listening to my feelings And point out all my flaws. So take away your feelings, your concern and meetings too. You’ve done it, you’ve destroyed me. Well done. Good for you. It takes a certain kind a person to ignore the words I say. I never thought I’d meet you, but I have to my dismay
