Hurts Lair
Alas! Another day has come I can hear the gears of torture whine For yet again the time has come For my strength to be ripped from my spine I must go on, I have to be strong But I hear my legs crying They curse my will to move on I can feel them slowly dying Out from the shadows I see its walls Her mammoth lair appears I must tread into those gloomy halls And confront my greatest fears TICK..TOCK ..Shouts my trusty watch But there I sit...ever so silently This anguished heart I must watch As I feel her thoughts studying me Out in the open I need to go For my body needs nourishment But soon I know, her face will show And demolish my emotional monument THERE! I SEE HER NOW! Her presence makes me tremble! NO! I CANT!..I DON'T KNOW HOW... But to watch my foundation disassemble... Her steady gaze is a poisoned arrow That resides in my swollen heart A gaze that used to be so mellow Has betrayed my heart of hearts.... This is my fault I must admit I never knew she didn't know Her feelings for me were not legit She never knew I loved her so... It's time to go home again I must get over my sorrow I will heal my wounds again For its back to work tomorrow....
