Enclosed Within Me
Dark as night Need a light to walk this road can't see what's behind me can't feel what's in front of me lost amiss a lonely dream don't know which direction is right sit and ponder away what ifs in my life looking for support in a sea of numbers wanting to be seen as an individual needing my voice to be heard but fearing what others may say my words flow like a river smooth at first but rocky at the end finish a sentence with a beautiful art stroke but refuse to believe it is a masterpiece longing to believe in my true gift my passion for people with a name a stronger dialogue but again fear is the obstacle stand up and speak take your flow on the road is what few say but it's hard to believe the few when i can't see past me Gifted i may be but wrapped up forever it seems i will be don't need my shell broken don't want my vulnerablity seen torn between a means for a life or the thought of a dream confusing to me makes perfect sense to them I wish i knew what was in store a glimpse into my future just to see what they speak could be true all i got now is the moonlight cascading across a pond of mystery that i can barely see or wish not to believe is there.
