Torn Pride
I sit here, once again with tears in my eyes A sad individual, a waste of a life How can i feel like this, I'm suppose to be proud A sunny day, unreachable by clouds But I've fought, I've fought so hard These emotions won't stay away Each time my heart falls short of it's goal And tears want to run down my face I feel as if I'm all alone, no one shares my pain This sadness, this weakness, I'm so ashamed I tell myself to toughen up, stand strong But my pride has been beaten for too long I sit here, broken and torn Listening to songs as i morn I have no wish to try again, for i have yet to heal But i know i can't stop what my heart feels I cry saddened by my unaccepted love I cry, angered because that's not what a man does I tell myself its ok to cry But i hate this feeling, i hate this life
