Letter To Sixteen Year Old Self
Hi there, sixteen, wow I have some things to say to you Nothing drastic, just some small advice to help see you through Life will be hard but you manage very good Don’t be too troubled by what you think that you should. There is a warning for you, in couple of month’s in the park You go to play rounders with a group, none are very sharp Because you can’t run you are the fixed bowler for all When you bowl for you sister, DUCK before you fall. She whacks it so hard, it hits you in the head You are unconscious for minutes, she thought that you were dead. When offered that lift in the old red Mercedes Benz Say no, don’t get in, even though they are your friends. His driving is quite bad and he doesn't stop in time That cow that he hits, should have done some time It ran though the gate and landed on top of the hood Alright you were lucky, and you came through it quite good. That first proposal you had, you did right him to decline He turned out to be a bad one, he even did jail time Trust in yourself, your instincts aren't too bad Though you make some mistakes, experience you had. Don’t feel sorry, for the boy that lost his tu’pence ha’penny kite Don’t let his mum cajole you, because you can climb that height Remember this because, you fall head first and hit the ground A broken bone in your neck, your reward for being around. When on a plane, there's a man looks like your father not your mother Get up and speak to him, he is in fact your real half brother Don't waste the next ten years before you find each other He is searching for you too, his own sisters and brother Follow your head as well as your heart Don’t turn down a trip to Canada, grab that for a start. On the whole I think you don’t do to bad of late But remember to give your trust carefully And it measures a full five foot eight. © 21/12/2012 Entry in David Williams Hello/Goodbye Contest
