Millionaire
A millionaire, By now, I should be. No thanks, To haters, In my family, And my community. Big ups, To all, Who supported me. A millionaire, Yes, it should've happened By now. Seven books, In one year, And working too, wow! But no, now, I had to start over, From dealing with, People who I knew, Dearly who clearly, Messed over me. This time last year, I had no money, No Christmas gifts, No home. But the year before, I happily walked back, Through my familiar, Front door to get nothing, But the utmost disrespect, By people who should be, Attempted murder prime, Suspects. People who lied On my intellect, credibility, Talents, and gave me hell, Because with gifts God, Treated me well. I will say again, Whoever and wherever, thank you to my true Friends and family, Not at home, you see. How in the world would A sucess end up with so Much tragedy? Well, it All happened to me. I see all of this now As part of a testimony, A temporary tragedy, Which permanently Uplifted me. Yes, indeed! A millionaire, By now, I should be. Distribution In fifty countries Globally and counting, Made it to major University libraries. Monroe, LA, No thanks to thee. No thanks to many members of My family and community. Thanks again to those who Really truly supported me. Thanks so much to God My true deity. A millionaire, Soon I will be. The poverty, abuse, And racism that Once cursed me Will forever be erased. I thank God finally, For being in a better place. A millionaire, I will be. Not because of me But what God wrote in my destiny. copyright 2012- Nicole S. Brown- All rights reserved.
