Free Cee I Used My Own Blood To Write This Poem and Still Only 6 People Will Read It
A DICTUM BY DARROW If you add an “s” to the word care you get scare Perhaps that’s why it scares me to care I’d like to care but simply don’t dare And to me that really isn’t very fair Lately they’ve all been walking away The ones I care about that is The women who betray my trust And do what they must But what they must do invades my shell And relegates me, once again, to a hell Clarence Darrow said that the first part of our lives are ruined by our parents And the second part is ruined by our children Well allow me to add an addendum to that theory A theory that leaves me more than a little leery If one is privileged to live a third part of his life That part is ruined by our lovers That’s what one discovers with the loss of love And the happiness therein Oh, what can I say except for that is a sin So what can I do but cling to my dreams? And why can’t it ever be the way it seems? So often it appears I’ve found everlasting love at last Until I am cast aside in favor of something easier Something less complicated And once again the woman is implicated by impatience And her unwillingness to remain by my side So that’s why so many women have lied Lies with the implications of imperfections Until thus I have fallen under their spell And relegated, yet again, unto a hell So now you know the letter that turns care into scare Two words I find difficult to bear There have been women unable to completely share And to me that simply doesn’t seem fair © 2012…PHREEPOETREE....~free cee!~
